He photographed his wife and daughter and the streets, scenes and buildings of the cities in which they lived. He began taking pictures in his hometown for fun, opting for an inexpensive point and shoot camera over an expensive 16mm movie camera. Although the earliest of these photographs was taken in 1941, most were shot between 1947 and 1957.
